Designed in 1938 to haul heavy express trains and to remove the need for double heading. Built between 1943 and 1949, C38s were the only locomotives in NSWGR to use the Pacific 4-6-2 wheel arrangement.
The model will be non-streamlined in green livery, have a ceramic burner, axle pump, see through firebox door, by-pass valve, tender pump, steam gauge, water gauge, whistle and reversing lever.
Delivery is expected in 3. Q 2015 - production sample expected in early 2015.
